About the Lecturer:
April Lindner's poetry collection, Skin, received the 2002 Walt McDonald First Book Prize from Texas Tech University Press. She has edited the Longman textbook Contemporary American Poetry: A Pocket Anthology (with R. S. Gwynn) and has published two monographs—Dana Gioia, and New Formalist Poets of the American West—in Boise State University's Western Writers Series. Lindner teaches creative writing at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. She enjoys playing acoustic guitar and going on long hikes with her family.
