About the Lecturer:
Frank Madden is Professor and Chair of the English Department at SUNY Westchester Community College. He holds a Ph.D. from New York University, and has taught in graduate programs at CCNY, Iona College, and the New School for Social Research. He has served as Chair of the College Section of the NCTE as well as on several CCCC and MLA executive committees. His articles, chapters, and commentary about the teaching of literature have appeared in a variety of books and journals. Most recently, he has written a Pearson Longman textbook, Exploring Literature, now in its second edition. He lives in Brewster, NY with his wife, Sharon; they have two daughters, Michelle and Suzanne.
